Since the early 1970s, the bodies of at least 30 girls and young women have been discovered along this lonely stretch of Interstate 45 between Houston and Galveston, and a handful of other victims have vanished without trace. Though a few of the crimes have been solved, many more have not, and authorities speculate that this could be a case of multiple serial killers using this same area as a macabre dumping ground.
