Here is a new interview with me on the awesome Deviatus Podcast, discussing poltergeists and lots of other fun stuff. Enjoy!

Back on episode 39, we discussed the episode of A Haunting that dealt with the infamous Summerwind Mansion, not only said to be Wisconsin’s most haunted house, but also thought to be one of the most haunted locations in the United States. Now, on episode 54, we are honored to be talking with Craig Nehring of the Fox Valley Ghost Hunters, who not only wrote a book called Wisconsin’s Most Haunted which featured Summerwind, but has also investigated the property several times and is helping to raise money to have the mansion restored to its original spooky glory. Put on your ghost hunting hats and tune in for a fun, creepy discussion about one of the country’s most infamous haunted houses. Download the audio version here or watch the YouTube video here.
Check out the Fox Valley Ghost Hunters website and join the Summerwind Restoration Society group on Facebook! If you want to help get Summerwind rebuilt, contribute to the Summerwind Restoration Society GoFundMe. And here is the official ordering page for Craig’s book, Wisconsin’s Most Haunted.

Craig Nehring is from Minocqua, WI and lived in that area for 30 years. He lived very close to Summerwind Mansion and saw some inexplicable things there, and that’s how he got his start in ghost-hunting. In 2005 Nehring moved to the Fox Valley area. Around that time the ghost-hunting shows on television started to pop up all over the place, and Nehring decided to build his own team of investigators. His team’s first investigation was at an old hospital. In 2010 the Fox Valley Ghost Hunters were in the local newspaper, The Post Crescent, and this was only the beginning. Now in 2017, Nehring never thought they would be where they are. Some teams don’t like publicity or to be in the spotlight, but Craig is just the opposite. He wants the attention to get his team’s name out there. Mr. Nehring has a book called Wisconsin’s Most Haunted, which can be found on Amazon, and many other places as well. Currently Nehring is working on a second book of Wisconsin haunts with his co-author Enid Cleaves. In addition he is writing another book based on his team’s out-of-state investigations.
The Fox Valley Ghost Hunters have a team that is very caring and helpful towards their clients. They investigate already well-known haunted spots to learn about what is there and why they are there, and to find answers to the afterlife. Please follow them on Facebook and enjoy all their pictures and voices and stories throughout the years. Craig wants to thank all his team’s clients and followers throughout the years and today for without their continued support and enthusiasm we would not exist.
Recently, Tom and I were guests on Adam Sayne’s excellent Conspirinormal Podcast, discussing topics ranging from poltergeists to demonologists to the Satanic Panic to the Villisca Axe Murders to Star Wars to necrophilia. Have a listen right here!

Have you ever been making a recording in a creepy old house (like you do) and gotten a lot more than you bargained for, such as, say, disembodied voices turning up on your audio devices? Welcome to the eerie and controversial world of electronic voice phenomena (EVP), which has now become an integral part of any paranormal investigation. The internet is awash in spooky recordings of supposed voices of the dead, but how real is this phenomena, and can our video and audio technology really be used to communicate with the other side? On this installment of 13 O’Clock, Tom and Jenny discuss EVPs and spirit communication, play some examples of EVPs, break down the history of the concept of talking to ghosts through audio devices, and hone in on some of the better known figures in the field, such as Marcello Bacci and the radio he uses to talk to spirits. Tune in to our ghostly frequency and listen for the voices, because it’s time for episode 52.

Listen to me shooting the shit about poltergeists and the paranormal, as well as about my horror fiction, the 13 O’Clock Podcast, and various horror movies I like!

And quite a lovely review it was too. Want to read it? Here it is.

It’s our fiftieth episode (cue party horn going *fweeeeet*)!!! And what better way to celebrate than with yet another one of our fun and popular breakdowns of “A Haunting” episodes! This time we’ll be discussing another one of our favorites, “Demon Child,” from season 2, which features a kid peeing in a closet and sitting on a cat, a demon named Man who pretends to be a bratty dead kid, and the ubiquitous Raccoon Man playing the dad! Thanks to everyone who has supported us through all 50 episodes so far, and we hope to have lots more shows coming in the future! But for now, Man said you could listen to episode 50 of 13 O’Clock. HE SAID IT WOULD BE FUN! 🙂

As I promised, right here is part three of my interview about The Unseen Hand that I undertook for the rad podcast Where Did the Road Go? By the way, if you like Seriah’s show, please consider donating to his Patreon. Thank you, and keep it creepy.
On episode 47, Tom and Jenny are returning to their fun recaps of “A Haunting” episodes, and this time around, they’re discussing one of the more unusual ones: “Hungry Ghosts,” which was the fifth episode of season two. The wealthy Bishop family move to a company-owned mansion in Taiwan after dad Dennis is given a promotion, but almost from the moment they set foot in the place, creepy things are afoot. Leaky walls, big-ass spiders, footsteps, voices, doors opening by themselves…it’s enough to make mom Candace summon a Taoist priest to rid the gigantic, window-heavy showplace of its pesky spirits. Don’t forget to pack up a picnic basket of fruit, incense, and cash to leave on the front lawn for the unquiet ghosts before tuning in for the latest haunting episode of 13 O’Clock.
