She was also criticized for accepting donations from controversial figures, such as dictators and fraudsters, and for using these funds to expand her religious missions rather than improving healthcare facilities. Some detractors suggest she glorified suffering in line with her Catholic beliefs, prioritizing evangelism over alleviating pain. Despite these critiques, she remains a symbol of compassion for many.
