Anyone who’s into true crime knows that women can be every bit as vicious as men, and on this particular episode, Tom and Jenny will be discussing two of history’s most notorious female murderers. First, we’ll talk about 19th-century killer Mary Pearcey, who brutally slaughtered a woman and a baby and has also been put forward as a candidate for Jack the Ripper. Then we’ll tackle the case of perhaps the most prolific female serial killer ever, baby farmer Amelia Dyer, also known as the Ogress of Reading. Dyer is believed to have slain between 200 and 400 infants over a period spanning from 1869 to 1896. Settle in for these two tales of terror on a deadlier-of-the-species edition of 13 O’Clock.

Thousands of years ago, the ancient Greeks actually figured out that the world was spherical, and in the time since then, numerous proofs of this very obvious fact have been in evidence. However, there has always been a small but somewhat vocal minority who, for reasons having to do with religious beliefs, conspiratorial mindsets, or plain old contrariness, have argued passionately that the world is flat. For whatever reason, this small minority has been growing in the last few years, and flat earthers now have their own conventions all over the world and produce videos with millions of views. On this episode of 13 O’Clock, Tom and Jenny will dive into the wild world of modern flat earthers, discussing their arguments and their reasons for believing as they do.
