13 O’Clock Episode 442: The Roswell Incident

The Roswell Incident refers to an event in July 1947, when something crashed on a ranch near Roswell, New Mexico. The U.S. military initially claimed it was a “flying disc” but quickly retracted the statement, saying it was a weather balloon. This sparked widespread speculation that the government was covering up evidence of an alien spacecraft. Over the years, conspiracy theories grew, fueled by declassified documents and witness accounts. In 1994, the U.S. government admitted the debris was part of Project Mogul, a top-secret program using high-altitude balloons to detect Soviet nuclear tests. Despite this explanation, Roswell remains a focal point for UFO enthusiasts and alien conspiracy theories.

13 O’Clock Episode 422: Former FBI Agent and Conspiracy Theorist Ted Gunderson

Ted Gunderson was a former FBI agent who became a prominent conspiracy theorist after retiring from the bureau. He served in the FBI for nearly three decades, holding senior positions, including Special Agent in Charge of the Los Angeles office. After his retirement in 1979, Gunderson began promoting a variety of conspiracy theories, claiming knowledge of secret government programs, satanic cults, child abduction rings, and covert activities by shadowy organizations. His controversial assertions, often lacking evidence, gained him a following among conspiracy enthusiasts. Despite his FBI background, his later years were marked by increasing skepticism and criticism from mainstream sources.
