Part Two of My Interview About “The Unseen Hand” on Where Did the Road Go

A few posts back I gave some links to some radio shows and podcasts I’d been on recently, and just as I promised, right here is part two of the interview I did on Where Did the Road Go with Seriah Azkath. There will also be a part three up soon, plus an extra interview with me was recorded for their Patreon supporters, so go support the show and get some extra content from yours truly. Thank you, and keep it creepy. 🙂

I’ve Been Flapping My Gums on Some Shows

For those of you out there who simply can’t get enough of me talking about poltergeists and generally making a nuisance of myself, here I am talking about my latest book The Unseen Hand on the Conspirinormal Podcast with Adam Sayne, here I am on Me & Paranormal You with Ryan Singer, and here I am discussing the same book on Where Did the Road Go? with Seriah Azkath. Keep in mind that I also recorded a part two and three for the Where Did the Road Go show, plus some extra stuff for their Patreon listeners, so if you’re so inclined, you will be able to listen to me talk until the heat death of the universe. Enjoy!

13 O’Clock Episode 36 – Real To Reel Horror

The world is full of real-life horrors, so it isn’t surprising that fictional horror sometimes takes its cue from true events. While most are familiar with the supposedly real stories behind movies like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Psycho, Jaws, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, and The Amityville Horror, on this episode of 13 O’Clock, Tom and Jenny discuss four lesser-known recent horror films with plots somewhat based in reality: The Possession (based on the infamous dybbuk box), The Quiet Ones (based on the Philip Experiment), The Girl Next Door (based on the horrific torture and murder of Sylvia Likens), and The Forest (based on Aokigahara, Japan’s Suicide Forest). Listen in as horror gets real…sort of.

It’s an exhaustive compendium of over one hundred recorded poltergeist cases throughout history and across the globe, summarized and analyzed for your spooky reading pleasure. Please obtain a copy tout suite, and if you’d be so kind as to write a review if you like it, I would be most appreciative. If you’re still not convinced, read the blurb below the cover art and then just tell me you don’t want to read it. YOU WANT TO READ IT.

Do it.

Goddess out.

Rapping on the walls. Mysterious rains of stones. Furniture moving around by itself. Phantom voices. Unexplained fires. Invisible assaults. The symptoms of poltergeist activity are well known, but what is a poltergeist, really? Is it some type of demon, or an angry spirit whose only mission is to cause mischief and destruction? Is it the unconscious energy of a troubled living person, somehow affecting the environment from a distance? Or could it all be simply fraud or misidentification? In this comprehensive book, well over one hundred cases of poltergeist activity, from the first century to the present day, are summarized and examined. All the best-known cases are presented, from Borley Rectory to the Bell Witch, from the Great Amherst Mystery to Gef the Talking Mongoose, from Rosenheim to Tina Resch, from Enfield to the Entity. A large selection of fascinating and lesser-known accounts from all over the world are also included, and all contain testimony of the most eerie and extraordinary events. In addition, the book contains in-depth discussions of distinct patterns, stages, and theorized causes of poltergeist phenomena, drawing from some of the best research in parapsychology, neuroscience, and quantum mechanics, as well as a skeptical perspective to provide a grounded overview. The Unseen Hand is the ultimate, one-stop shop for readers interested in poltergeist disturbances throughout history and the theories behind what causes them.

Look, Up in the Sky! It’s a Ghost! It’s a Poltergeist! No, it’s an ACTUAL UPDATE!

I apologize for not being able to post many of my wildly entertaining movie reviews and generally scintillating wit as of late, but the Goddess has been exceptionally busy producing the 13 O’Clock podcast, doing enough graphic design work to keep her in the manner to which she has become accustomed, and, most relevantly, trying to finish her brand spanking new book.

Yes, paranormal pals, my newest tome, an exhaustive compilation and exploration of poltergeist cases throughout history, will be dropping very soon! It’s called The Unseen Hand, and it includes not only a breakdown of parapsychological and naturalistic theories about the causes of poltergeist activity, but also features well over a hundred poltergeist cases from all over the world from the first century to 2016, all summarized for your spooky reading pleasure. If you’ve heard of a particular poltergeist case, or even if you haven’t, chances are I’ve written about it in here. I covered a lot of ground, is what I’m saying.

The writing of the book is completely done, and at the moment I’m just doing the final editing and formatting, as well as recording the audio book. As soon as it is up and running, I will of course post a link right on this very blog.

But in case you can’t wait that long, I will not only post a teaser of the cover below, but I also invite you to go have a listen to the wonderful Me and Paranormal You podcast, on which I was recently a guest, talking about the world of the paranormal and my uneasy association with it. Listen, enjoy, and sit tight, for more ghostly goodness is in store. Goddess out.

13 O’Clock Episode 25 -The Scole Experiment

Often bandied about as one of the most compelling investigations into the reality of spirit communication, the Scole Experiment was actually a five-year-long series of around 500 seances attended by both mediums and scientists in various fields. The list of witnessed phenomena seems impressive: disembodied spirit voices, moving lights, tilting tables, and the appearance of bizarre images and writing on unexposed film kept in a locked box. But how solid is the evidence gathered by the Scole experimenters really? On this episode, Tom and Jenny give an overview of the project and examine some of the problems with methodology that cast doubt on  the conclusions drawn by the experimenters.

13 O’Clock Episode 20 – Hauntings and Poltergeists with Parapsychologist Steve Mera

Happy 2017! On this first episode of the new year, Tom and Jenny have a very special guest, parapsychologist Steve Mera. Steve has been in the field for more than 30 years and has investigated hundreds of paranormal cases. Jenny even co-authored two books with him about two of his most fascinating investigations, The Rochdale Poltergeist and House of Fire and Whispers: Investigating the Seattle Demon House. On this episode, he talks about both those cases, as well as his career in the paranormal in general, including the differences between poltergeist infestations and hauntings, and what he thinks of popular “ghost hunting” shows. Tune in and enjoy the science behind the spooky.
