Vince McMahon was the mastermind behind WWE’s global empire, a rags-to-riches success that ultimately spiraled to a shocking downfall. Raised in a broken home, he took over the family wrestling business in 1982, turning WWF into a billion-dollar spectacle with icons like Hulk Hogan and The Rock. But the story darkened with the 2024 sex trafficking lawsuit from ex-employee Janel Grant, alleging years of abuse, coercion, and exploitation involving McMahon, WWE exec John Laurinaitis, and even wrestler Brock Lesnar—claims that forced his permanent exit from TKO Group Holdings. Updates through 2025 reveal settlements, a dropped federal probe on cover-ups, and an ongoing battle over arbitration, plus fresh allegations of enabling child abuse in the ’80s. Was McMahon a visionary or a villain?

Bill Cosby, a once-celebrated actor and comedian, has faced numerous allegations of sexual assault and misconduct spanning several decades. Over 60 women have publicly accused Cosby of sexual assault, misconduct, or rape, with alleged incidents dating as far back as the 1960s. Many accusers claimed that Cosby drugged them before assaulting them, often under the guise of offering career advice or mentorship. Due to the statute of limitations, most of the allegations could not lead to criminal prosecution, though they were instrumental in shaping public perception and legal momentum.

Christopher Bathum is a former entrepreneur and founder of several businesses, most notably the chain of addiction treatment centers known as Community Recovery Los Angeles, or CRLA. Bathum gained significant media attention after being convicted of multiple charges related to running a fraudulent and abusive operation in the rehabilitation industry, as well as numerous rape and sexual assault charges. The case drew wider attention to the issue of fraud and exploitation in the addiction treatment industry, highlighting the dangers of for-profit centers that prioritize financial gain over patient well-being. Bathum’s conviction serves as a stark example of the unethical practices that can sometimes plague the recovery treatment business.

13 O’Clock Episode 8 – The Original Night Stalker

Most people have heard of Richard Ramirez, the infamous serial killer known as the Night Stalker. But what many people don’t know is that a decade before Ramirez commenced his reign of terror, a much more brutal and prolific serial killer and rapist stalked the upper-middle-class neighborhoods of California, from Sacramento to Irvine. This man, known alternately as the East Area Rapist, the Golden State Killer, the Diamond Knot Killer, or The Original Night Stalker, has never been apprehended, and may still be on the loose. On this episode, Tom and Jenny discuss his horrific crimes and speculate as to why he was never caught. 2016, in fact, marks the 40th anniversary of the Original Night Stalker’s first known crime, and the FBI have redoubled their efforts to track the guy down, offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to his capture and conviction.
