13 O’Clock Episode 517: Joanna Dennehy – The Peterborough Ditch Murders

Joanna Dennehy is one of the UK’s most notorious female serial killers, responsible for the 2013 Peterborough Ditch Murders in Cambridgeshire, England. Over the course of just ten days, Dennehy fatally stabbed three men—Lukasz Slaboszewski, John Chapman, and Kevin Lee—before dumping their bodies in roadside ditches around Peterborough. After fleeing the area with an accomplice, she traveled to Hereford, where she randomly stabbed two more men who survived their injuries. During the investigation, it emerged that Dennehy had spoken about killing for excitement and described murder as becoming “moreish,” shocking both investigators and the public. She pleaded guilty to three counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder, and in February 2014 she received a whole-life order, ensuring she will never be released from prison. The case remains one of Britain’s most disturbing modern serial murder investigations because of the apparent lack of conventional motive, Dennehy’s chilling lack of remorse, and the calculated disposal of her victims’ bodies.

13 O’Clock Episode 516: Wade Wilson – The Cape Coral Strangler (aka The Deadpool Killer)

Wade Wilson, often referred to in the media as the “Deadpool Killer” because he shares a name with the fictional Marvel character, was convicted of the October 2019 murders of Kristine Melton and Diane Ruiz in Cape Coral, Florida. Prosecutors presented evidence that Wilson killed Melton after meeting her in a bar, then later murdered Ruiz after a chance encounter, abandoning her body in a field. Investigators used DNA evidence, cellphone records, surveillance footage, witness testimony, and forensic analysis to build their case. In 2024, a Florida jury found Wilson guilty of multiple charges and unanimously recommended the death penalty. The court subsequently sentenced him to death for both murders, while his case entered the lengthy appellate process that accompanies all capital convictions in Florida.

13 O’Clock Episode 128 – The Toy-Box Killer and the Beauty Queen Killer

It’s two more terrifying tales of true crime on today’s installment of 13 O’Clock. First up, we’ll be discussing the notorious David Parker Ray, better known as the Toy-Box Killer, a serial rapist, torturer, and suspected serial killer who kidnapped women with the help of his willing accomplices and subjected them to the most brutal torture imaginable inside of his purpose-built trailer. Then, on the second half, we’ll be talking about Christopher Wilder, aka The Beauty Queen Killer, who became infamous after an unbelievable 1984 rape and murder spree that lasted several months and claimed at least eight victims, most of whom were beautiful young women who Wilder would lure out of shopping malls by claiming to be a fashion photographer. Prepare a stiff drink and settle in for the ghastly journey into depravity that is episode 128.
