13 O’Clock Episode 161 – Murder in Florida: Flat Tire Murders, Kingfish Boat Ramp Murders, and More

On this installment of 13 O’Clock, Tom and Jenny are delving into four cases of serial and spree killers in Jenny’s home state of Florida, three of whom were never apprehended. First, we discuss the 1975 slayings known as the Flat Tire Murders, a series of crimes in Dade County that claimed the lives of between four and nine women. Then, we talk about the bizarre 1980 case of the Kingfish Boat Ramp Murders, in which a mysterious individual gunned down four people and wounded another, apparently at random. Then we wrap up the show with a discussion of the serial killer known as the Daytona Beach Killer, who murdered at least four women between the years of 2005 and 2007; and the Seminole Heights Killer, who shot four random people in Tampa in 2017 before being caught and identified as Howell Donaldson III. Get your Florida Man memes ready and settle in for episode 161.

13 O’Clock Episode 159 – Edmund Kemper: The Co-Ed Killer

Returning to true crime on this installment, Tom and Jenny are discussing the life and murders of Ed Kemper, the highly intelligent and physically enormous serial killer sometimes known as the Co-Ed Killer. After shooting his grandparents to death when he was only fifteen, Ed was institutionalized for a time, but unfortunately was released from the hospital at the age of 21, and subsequently went on to brutally murder six young women, as well as his mother and a family friend. He was also notable for his appalling mutilations of the bodies of his victims, as well as necrophilia and possibly cannibalism. Try to keep down your lunch; it’s about to get rough on episode 159.

13 O’Clock Episode 155 – Bob Berdella, The Kansas City Butcher

On this grisly installment, Tom and Jenny are breaking down the case of Robert “Bob” Berdella, the serial killer known as The Kansas City Butcher and The Collector. Between 1984 and 1987, this former chef and dealer in antiques and curios lured at least six men into his home, drugged them, repeatedly raped them, and kept them captive for anywhere from a day to six weeks, perpetrating unimaginable torture on his victims before finally killing them, dismembering their bodies, and putting the pieces out in the trash. Grab your barf bags and pour a stiff drink, we’re about to get nasty up in here on episode 155.

13 O’Clock Episode 154 – The Bizarre Disappearance and Murder of Judy Smith

On this mystifying true crime installment, Tom and Jenny are discussing the weird 1997 case of Judy Smith, who mysteriously vanished while on a business trip with her husband, only to be found dead months later in a remote campground six-hundred miles away. Featured on an episode of Unsolved Mysteries, the case is full of so many eerie and unexplained details that you’ll be trying to figure it out well after the episode is over. So put on your thinking caps and try to solve the enigma at the center of episode 154.

13 O’Clock Episode 153 – The Blackout Ripper and the Brownout Strangler

On this darkened, wartime installment, Tom and Jenny are delving into two horrific cases of serial killers who took advantage of the low-light conditions and general chaos during World War II to ply their grisly trade. On the first half, we discuss England’s Gordon Cummins, better known as The Blackout Ripper, who prowled the streets of London during one terrifying week in 1942, slaughtering and mutilating women left and right. On the second half, we go into the case of Eddie Leonski, The Brownout Strangler, an American serviceman stationed in Melbourne, Australia who murdered several women under similar conditions in the same year. Hunker down in your air raid shelter and turn your lights on full blast, it’s time for the historical horrors of episode 153.
