Tom and Jenny talk about the 1936 Universal film, a direct sequel to 1931’s iconic Dracula. It stars Gloria Holden as the titular character, and may be the first screen example of the now-ubiquitous “reluctant vampire” trope. Also, it was supposedly very loosely based on both Bram Stoker’s “Dracula’s Guest,” as well as Sheridan le Fanu’s Carmilla.
