13 O’Clock Episode 280 LIVE: The Lost Civilization of Atlantis and Crystal Skulls

Once, long ago, there was an amazingly advanced civilization that supposedly vanished beneath the waves and has been a source of fascination for humans ever since. The lost civilization of Atlantis, first mentioned by Plato in 360 BCE, has come to be embraced by the new age community at large, and many writers of that ilk claim that Atlantis represented the peak of human evolution, or conversely that it was occupied by aliens or gods on earth whose knowledge has sadly been forgotten. A few researchers have even spent considerable time and effort trying to find the location of the lost land. But was Atlantis a real place, or just a fictional construct? And, as a bonus, we’ll also discuss the legends and theories surrounding the numerous crystal skulls found in museums around the world. Balance your chakras and visualize your auras, it’s about to get woo-woo all up in a new agey episode 280.

13 O’Clock Episode 48 – Myths About the Maya

The Maya are probably one of the most mysterious ancient cultures on earth, and because of this, lots and lots of myths and misunderstandings, some nuttier than others, have sprung up about them. The best known is their supposed “prediction” of the end of the world in 2012 (which didn’t happen, obviously), but there are also many other stories involving ancient aliens, crystal skulls, the reasons behind the rapid decline of their complex civilization, whether they were big fans of human sacrifice, and so much more. On episode 48 of the show, Tom and Jenny discuss the fascinating world of the ancient Maya and the truth behind many of the stories and myths that emerged about them over the years. Paint an orphan child blue and toss them into the nearest cenote (um, yeah, don’t really do that) and settle in for another fun, rambling, and marginally informative episode of 13 O’Clock.
