Shad Thyrion, a 24-year-old resident of Green Bay, Wisconsin, was brutally murdered on February 23, 2022. The gruesome nature of the crime sent shockwaves through the community and garnered national attention. Shad’s dismembered body was discovered in the basement of his parents’ home, leading to a swift investigation by local authorities. Taylor Schabusiness, a 25-year-old woman, was arrested and charged with the murder after evidence, including bloody clothing and body parts, was found linking her to the crime. Schabusiness almost immediately admitted to the killing, revealing disturbing details about the events leading to Thyrion’s death. The case highlighted issues of mental health and substance abuse, as Schabusiness had a history of both. Shad Thyrion’s tragic death left his family and friends devastated, and the community mourned the loss of a young life taken in such a violent manner.
